Quick Notes...

Found a place to live - at least for awhile- big handyman special we were going to buy fell through days before closing- no reason- our lawyer just received fax and they sent back deposit- probably greed prevailed- hope they fix it before snow falls- then we almost bought run-down trailer on half-acre land- speculator grabbed it - he's going to resurvey hoping lot is bigger- real estate agent told us she doubts it- might still be in play- we told her to keep look out for crappy abandoned farm= she said hmm...
Until then we find a real house we found a trailer to rent near the junkyard- $500 and no deposit- better than the $850 first, last, and security for trailers(!) we were looking at- (no dogs allowed- want Manhattanites looking for second home- (idiot investers)- contractor who was going to fix the not-quite-ready-to-be-condemned house has a brother who knows the people moving from the trailer to a nicer one (we're moving on up...) no propane-good-electric will be much cheaper than here so we should be able to save some money for a property or a haircut.
Contactor's brother also had MinPin puppy they had to get rid of- couldn't housetrain and they're probably "cat people" anyway- so we picked up a dog for our dog.
Been walking it all day- one poop and one pee outside so far- it's a start!
